The thief wants you to think about who stole it so we will use up our precious learning time. i reccomend looking under the couch in the teachers lounge and preforming a large scale "interviewing" room to find out if anybody knows about what happened to it. and by interviewing i mean giving them cookies and ice cream until they tell you something.
i think that it is some where in the teachers lounge or a private office.
